Government City, also known as Magufuli City, is a major national development project located approximately 17 kilometres east of Dodoma City Centre. Established during the leadership of the late former President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli, the project is designed to serve as the official seat of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The development hosts key national institutions, including ministerial headquarters, the judiciary, government residential houses, and a diplomatic enclave, making it one of the most significant government infrastructure projects in the country.
